The top destinations for business travellers in 2013

So what destinations are on the hot list for business travellers in 2013? We spoke with Tom Otley, Editorial Director of Business Traveller magazine, at the Business Travel Show 2013 in London who gave us his top  travel destinations for the year ahead and we caught up with one of the airline carriers flying to one of these popular places.

‘Do you really need to travel…video conference instead’?

At a glance, exhibiting at a travel trade show and posing the question ‘do your really need to travel?’ may not sound appropriate.

Reel Monkey Productions spoke to one such company who did just that at the Business Travel Show 2013 in London, Europe’s premier exhibition and conference for business travellers. Joel Noden of Videonations, a provider of HD quality video conferencing technology, explains to us that actually given the current financial pressures on corporate travel their business and technology can help companies increase productivity whilst reducing travel expenditure. So maybe a relevant question after all?



Travel accommodation – Hotel or Serviced apartment?

In our first video filmed at the recent Business Travel Show 2013 in London, we take a look at the serviced apartment sector which is seen as a potential growth area in the travel industry.

We spoke to Joyce Cawthorpe, Manager of the Association of Serviced Apartment Providers (ASAP) at the show, who outlines the benefits of using serviced apartments and the prospects of growth for its members in 2013. A recent calculation by ASAP founder member, Marlin Apartments, revealed that corporate travel buyers could save between 30% and 40% on their accommodation costs by switching from hotels to serviced apartments.
