Earlier this month, the ‘Live News’ division of stock photography agency Alamy arranged for our photographer to visit Twycross Zoo in Leicestershire, England to capture some imagery of their collection of Humboldt penguins ahead of Penguin Awareness day on 20 January. Twycross Zoo were marking the occasion with a weekend wide range of activities for visitors to raise awareness of penguin and marine wildlife conservation. Penguins are classed as vulnerable species and populations are thought to be endangered.
